Larry, Sharon, Jarret & Ashlee
Wow,...it's been like 7 years! Larry and his wife Sharon came out to Sherlock Holmes on Saturday to catch a few of my sets. I haven't seen these guys for AGES!
I used to work with Larry (he was a "sound tech") in a band called R.S.F. Rock Theatre. Jarret (Larry & Sharon's son) brought his lovely lady Ashlee (an accomplished pianist) along with him. It was great to see them all!!

Leanne, Anna, Melissa & Steve
After a hard day at work...no better place for a cold drink than at work. Here's some of the Crown & Anchor staff enjoying some leisure time. It was good to finally get a "pic" of Leanne and Anna....and nice to meet Melissa's beau, Steve. Steve is a salesman at GP Mazda in Grande Prairie. (...who knows, if you tell him you saw his photo on my website he might even give you a better deal on your next car?!)

Keith, Jolene & Paddy
Jolene was getting lots of attention from these two characters! She is one of the great servers at the Black Horse Pub & is also an outstanding vocalist. What's more,...she competed in Canadian Idol, and made it to the top 100!
Jolene "came up" and sang "Something to Talk About" (written by Shirley Eckhart, covered by Bonnie Raitt) and did a fabulous job of the song!!

Shane & his lovely lady Andrea
These two recently moved from Edson, Alberta to Grande Prairie. It was great to meet them at the "Crown". After chatting with them, I found out they also used to live in Calgary and were familiar with some of the clubs I used to perform at "down south".
They also purchased one of my CD's (that's what Andrea is holding). Hey guys,...thanks for supporting Alberta original music!
Nate & April
These two knew each other back home in the maritimes, but have become "romantically entwined" since they moved to Grande Prairie. As the saying goes, "sometimes you travel a thousand miles to find that which is in your own backyard"!
Nate is a foreman at Totem Lumber and April is a Nanny who plans on taking over the "Nanny 911" show real soon!!
I've chatted with Nate a few times at the Crown and since purchasing my CD he's been very supportive of my music.

Mark, Emila, Ray, Barry, Louise & Jason
Sorry about the head crop, Mark. (Next time I'll take a better photo of you!!)
Louise was back out to the pub and this time brought along a whole "school of fish". (As it turns out I guess Ray is actually quite the "fisherman", and has the website to prove it!)
Paul, Cara, Unknown Sailor & Mark
It was the 10th Annual NIGEL CARNELL Memorial Golf Tourney @ the Crown & Anchor on Saturday, September 22nd, 2007.
Nigel must have been a great fellow, because so many people showed up to pay their respects!
(I don't know the "gent" in the background, he just kind of "sailed in" with a big smile on his face as I was clicking the picture,...the more the merrier, eh?!)
Andrew, Dawn & Jeff
Hey, I didn't realise that Andrew & Dawn knew Jeff....but, they all showed up at the Crown & Anchor.
Andrew & Dawn originally met each other here at the "Crown" and were married right in the pub. Andrew is a salesman for Pepsi (he gets up pretty early in the morning for work, so I'm surprised he stays so late). Dawn is a school counsellor and I'm told she really loves working with the kids!

Danny, Alain, Lynda, Crystal, Duke, Lise & Noel
Salut!
This crew was ready to "party on"! Here's a "moment in time" with some great folks I met at the Girouxville Inn. ( I'll have to work on improving my French for the next time I see my buddies.) Lise was celebrating her birthday a week early, but she and her "hubby" Duke and hard working folks who needed a night on the town!
Lynda works here at the Inn, but she and her husband Alain needed a night off too!

Tara, Jackie & Jill
Our "fall" Tai Chi classes will be starting up soon. Here are three great "players" from our intermediate/advanced class (taken before our summer break). Tara juggles being a mom with her work as a paramedic. (Not sure how she finds time for tai chi, thankfully she has a supportive hubby to "share in the child care".)
Jackie loves her work as an office administrator (and a very articulate one I might add!) and Jill has a framing business (with her husband Henry) called "FrameWorks". (They do outstanding work!).
Carol, Lynn, Jeff, Sue & Micheline,
Here's a few of the participants from our "beginner" Tai Chi class. Carol and Lynn both came back for a "refresher", but Sue & Micheline were first timers. They did their homework and stayed on top of things by practising together whenever they could.
(The two of them were always laughing and cracking jokes which made for an entertaining class!!)

John & Heather
Here's a couple of friends I sat with at a wedding reception in Calgary.
Al & Wendy (not in this photo) got married in Nova Scotia but held a reception in Calgary on September 2/07.
John is a musician, and his friend Heather works in a furniture store (She keeps track of all the inventory). All night long,...everyone at the table was admiring Heather's beautiful hair!

Joanne, Bridget, Jodie & Dwayne
I thought I'd lost this photo from the Grimshaw Hotel...but it's all good! Joanne, Bridget & Jodie are all servers at the hotel.
Dwayne is a cook (currently working for KFC)who has worked in some very "posh" restaurants. I like his attitude. When I introduced myself he said, "There are no strangers in life,...just friends we haven't met yet".

Sheridan, Melissa, Adam & Paul (squatting)
More of the fine staff at the Crown & Anchor. (I finally got a "pic" of Sheridan!) Adam was doing his "ROBO-COP" impression here as he puts the finger on Paul.
Paul will have made a career change by the time this photo is posted. He promised me he'd be back in for a "cold one" next time I'm playing in Grande Prairie!
Paul, Kristy, Tammy, Adam, Melissa
Five fantastic smiles... five "fabulous staff" members. I was lucky to be able to catch so many of the Crown & Anchor staff in one photo!
When I'm playing in Grande Prairie, I have a song that each of them likes to hear. It's just my way of thanking them for the great service they offer!!
